In the USA, nine states and Washington DC have either decriminalized or legalized all use of marijuana. 29 States now permit medical use of Cannabis. The list is growing.
64% of Americans support legalization of some kind.
Australia Approved medical use of Cannabis
Uruguay The first country worldwide to legalize marijuana for everyone.
Canada Marijuana approved for medical use since 2001 and this summer Cannabis will be available to all for recreational use.
Chile Legalized Cannabis for everyone while Colombia has decriminalized personal use and possession up to 20 plants or 20 grams. Many dispensaries licensed recently.
India Smoked everywhere especially in public by Spiritual people although there are laws against use. They are not adhered to. Most tourist locations such as Goa and Varanasi allow legal use. The law allows a drink used during national holidays laced with Cannabis called bhang.
Israel The country where THC was first extracted allows Medical and Recreational. Small personal grows are tolerated and you are fined if arrested for the forth time for rec use. Israel is a leader in medical research and marijuana.
Jamaicans Can grow and use but not in public.
Mexico Now allows marijuana for everyone.
Peru Allows medical marijuana.
Philippines Any amount of marijuana over 0.3 oz is not tolerated and can lead to imprisonment or worse, execution!
Czech Republic allows medical marijuana through pharmacies and is imported from the Netherlands. Recreational laws are lax as to enforcement.
Denmark has a suburb of Copenhagen known as the “Green Light District” where everyone can partake in Cannabis and the police ignore it. Elsewhere it is still illegal.
Germany allows medical marijuana with a prescription but laws are lax if you use recreationally.
Finland allows medical marijuana.
Greece legalized medical marijuana recently.
Indonesia Not tolerated at all but they do partake in hallucinations in the form of magic mushrooms.
Italy Allows medical use but it is grown by the Italian Army and bought at pharmacies.
Macedonia allows medical use and CBD oil OTC if less than 0.2%THC.
The Netherlands only tolerate medical and recreational use of marijuana although it is a country known to be very lax with the laws. There are 5 gm recreational use limits and public coffee houses stock it as well as State run dispensaries.
Poland Approved medical use. Obtain a pharmacies but growing is illegal so imports are relied upon.
Portugal Medical and Recreational marijuana are allowed but no growing.
Spain Medical and recreational are allows as well as growing small quantities for personal use. You may buy Cannabis but it is illegal to sell it!
Saudi Arabia No tolerance!@
Switzerland Medical and Recreational allowed. CBD with less than 0.1% THC is readily available at locl headshops.
Turkey Medical Cannabis only.
The above information is changing rapidly as more than half of the world population has tried marijuana and laws are changing rapidly.
Cannabis companies are on the stock exchange and Forbes states marijuana is the fastest growing job. Forbes predicts the Cannabis industry is projected to reach $57 Billion in the next few years.
